Under Pressure
Sometimes it’s just so hard to keep it all in
I try to keep a straight face and look alright
But really I am in a cell fighting thoughts inside
My head’s never clear, I'm never me
They say, ‘be yourself’, that’s who I'm trying to be
All these emotions inside of me
Are kind of hard to carry
They’re heavy as gold and cold as ice
But I guess I gotta be humble and pay the price
Should I think of them as a chest of treasure
Cause isn't a diamond just a lump of coal that did well under pressure
Under pressure
Under pressure
Everyone’s counting on me to be responsible, to be real, to be special
And I’m counting on me to be the same
I’ve gotta be firm and live up to the expectations
And I’ve come to realise that it’s not child’s play
I try my best cause I wanna be a comfort
And not disappoint or go astray
All these emotions inside of me
I'm trying hard to carry
They’re heavy as gold and cold as ice
But I'm gonna be humble and pay the price
Do I think of them as a chest of treasure
Cause isn't a diamond just a lump of coal that did well under pressure
Under pressure
Under pressure
I guess that’s just how the world works
It puts the sky on your shoulders and it observes
Your potential to hold all the load
And be firm and strong till the end of the road
I don’t know what it holds for me
But i know that I accept the challenge, whatever it may be
I’ll be not who the world wants me to be
But someone who’s not afraid to dream
All these emotions inside of me
I will sure learn to carry
I’ll not be silenced or chained
And I’ll not be confounded by the rain
I’ll carry my chest of treasure
And emerge as a diamond form the pressure
No I won’t be held under pressure
Under pressure

Having this thought at this age is amazing. It is really a great skill to interact with self and social. Whole life exhausts in search of "me", but, too early, you have picked up the right thread; the thread of "me". Keep unknotting, the meaning of "me" will appear to you with all its beauty, grandeur and vastness.
