Today was my mum's birthday and I just wanted to write something special for her from deep within my heart...

For mum
You're my comfort, my number one
If you're happy, then shines the sun
All my resilience and determination, strength and motivation, it's yours through and through
If the world turns away from me, all I have to do is turn to you

My support, my guide
You gave me the courage to take a stride
Be fearless and faithful, and never let down your pride
With your own talent and charisma, be identified

It's your strength that runs the house
And your talent that makes us proud
In your embrace, I'm forever safe and sound
You're my angel and radiate serenity around

What a blessing you are, you really don't know
For life, we haven't got manuals but mums, to show
Us how to bloom, to row our own boat one day
Make a life that you can't wait to wake up to everyday

It's you mum, you make my life so hopeful and happy
You make the mountains that embrace my valley
Your smile is the rainbow in every storm
One look into your eyes, I'm home, I'm warm

I'm confident and brave and strong
Only when I know you're there to tell me if I'm wrong
If life were a music video, you sing my song
You'll be my sunshine lifelong

The most selfless, loving person I've ever known
All the sweetness in my heart, the seeds you've sown
In this home, you're the backbone
I got so many angels around, never will I ever be alone

May you have the best birthday ever mum
You deserve all the happiness in the world
It is cuz of you what I am and have become
But I'll never be such a bright and cheerful bird
And love as fully and care as deep

 I feel like a target, they're shooting at me and I can't deflect Can't tell if they're right, do I act like I am truly perfect?  Unconditional has so many conditions In the four walls of expectation Love is not in blood, or likeness of interest It's in commitment and trust Sometimes I feel devoid and then hit by asteroids with support And when I really need some love It feels like the walls are closing up in a fort like I don't deserve it but then I get too much and when I feel confident  and my esteem's bursting with purpose I bleed with frustration why am I so angry why does it hurt can't I have expectations running isn't helping I need to make it work when it really counts i'm frozen,  forget how to speak drowning, confusion, can't translate how I feel sometimes I roam, find myself alone and then amidst a cyclone, in mess and fear it's all so intense, even to me I seem dense the cosmos surely, is playing offense,  nothing's ever clear explaining myself isn't easy so please don't make me I don't know much about me don't understand my feelings need some rest ...
