Fragile

 Hey! I've actually been working on this one for quite a while now because I just needed to cover a lot of areas here and get a lot of inspiration. Anyway, I'm finally done! Hope you love it-

There's a part of me that wishes to be free

Gallop like a horse in the open fields

Find my wave, 'cause life's a beach

And be by myself for sometime to breathe

I've got a boulder on my shoulder and it won't budge

I'm kinda tired and people are quick to judge

Do my best to keep 'em happy, keep myself intact

But I've learnt it's not 'bout who you impress but who you impact

I look in the distance, I'm not bothered at all

By closed doors, blocked windows, unsurmountable walls

I don't see them, they're just excuses to never fall

But if you don't, you'll not ever stand as tall

'Cause strength comes from lifting yourself up every time you fall down 

And they say - If your dreams don't scare you they are too small

So I'll shine bright and never put out my fire

They'll throw stones at me but I'll collect them and build an empire

Sticks and stones won't break my bones, I'll only climb higher

The truth won't change if you call me a liar

Tell me I'm too weak, I won't survive the storm

But I am the storm, let you be informed

They call me fragile, no I won't deny

But I don't break like the wings of butterflies

Not fragile like a flower, but fragile like a bomb

And I'll stay strong

Don't look at yourself through their eyes

Who are they to gauge your worth and define

Who you are and what makes you a fighter

Oh but they don't know, blowing out my candles won't make their's shine any brighter

Wouldn't life be easier if I knew how to be selfish?

Is being self-absorbed the way to be happy, get what you wish?

Well I thought life meant much more if I'm not just being naive

From where I see, we're parasites unless there's something on this earth that we leave

I put on my brave face, facing the world

But I can't keep holding back my tears, submerged

Within my orb of tangled vehemence

Am I at fault? Tryna be who I think is myself

They see you crying into your hands, call you weak, but they are wrong

You're crying just because you've been too strong for too long
