Hey!! So for this piece, I was searching for some songwriting prompts when I saw this-



I was excited beyond description or reason about this and instantly thought of Annabeth from Percy Jackson and the Olympians!!!
Of course her story is very complicated though, so I broke it up a bit and wrote about her childhood first- under the protection of Luke and Thalia...
So here goes:

Under their wing
Hiding from her demons
They follow her to sleep
They're crawling round her all night
It's way too hard to keep
Her mind in place
The smile on her face
Her problems encased
No one to embrace
But she's still first in the race

She tried so hard to stay strong
But that wasn't enough
Ran away to make things right
Monsters they follow close behind
Oh but she's damn tough

She found her haven in two guardians
Walked through hell together, but it was elysium
Cuz they were her everything
A perfect family they built
He said for her he'd do anything
But when they found home, the other she turned into spring
A tree wise and old, but the essence was made from her soul
Thalia was her name
And even after death
She guarded her the same.

Annabeth moved on, she trained to be the best
The wisest, the strongest, she never failed to impress
A headstrong youngling isn't all she was
But the daughter of a goddess- of battle and wisdom

 Unconditional has so many conditions In the four walls of expectation Love is not in blood, or likeness of interest It's in commitment and trust Sometimes I feel devoid and then hit by asteroids with support And when I really need some love It feels like the walls are closing up in a fort like I don't deserve it but then I get too much and when I feel confident  and my esteem's bursting with purpose I bleed with frustration why am I so angry why does it hurt can't I have expectations running isn't helping I need to make it work when it really counts i'm frozen,  forget how to speak drowning, confusion, can't translate how I feel sometimes I roam, find myself alone and then amidst a cyclone, in mess and fear it's all so intense, even to me I seem dense the cosmos surely, is playing offense,  nothing's ever clear explaining myself isn't easy so please don't make me I don't know much about me don't understand my feelings need some rest ...
